According to the 2025 data from the Round University Ranking (RUR), the University ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ has achieved a significant improvement in its position in the global higher education ranking. Among over 1,200 universities evaluated on the international list, the institution advanced 67 places to rank 680th worldwide, and it holds the sixth position among domestic universities, improving by two places compared to its previous ranking.
A notable advancement was made in indicators reflecting the quality of education, where the university moved up by about one hundred places in the ranking. Similarly, outstanding performance was recorded in the assessment of financial sustainability, with the university improving its position by more than two hundred places. As a result, the University ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ ranked among the world’s top 500 higher education institutions in both categories. Indicators related to the quality of research also show an improving trend, while the evaluation of the international composition of students and faculty maintained the university’s position from the previous year.
Based on detailed indicators, the University ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ demonstrates outstanding values in several educational and research metrics. It ranks 109th globally in terms of faculty numbers relative to student enrollment, and 44th in the world based on the ratio of faculty size to the number of successfully graduated undergraduate students. These indicators indirectly reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of education.
Remarkable results were also achieved in international research collaborations: the university ranks 412th in terms of the proportion of such publications. Additionally, it holds the 212th position worldwide based on research revenues per faculty and researcher, underscoring active grant participation and industrial partnerships.
The results achieved in the RUR 2025 rankings confirm that the University ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ not only shows stable and balanced growth but is also approaching the forefront of international higher education in multiple dimensions—particularly in the quality of education, student support, and internationally relevant research performance.
Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA)

In the past year, four of our faculty members were awarded the prestigious title of Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA)—one of the highest honors in the national scientific arena—which they received at a ceremony held at the MTA Headquarters in May:
